Remote Reboot
Idea shared by Aaron Hawker - July 9, 2014 at 7:08 PM
Currently the only way to re-boot an unresponsive system is through IPMI, with the recent move to put that behind a VPN it creates a possible problem for me (and possibly others).
Is there any way to reboot a dedicated server without using IPMI?
Access to a machine that allows VPN (especially if I'm at a worksite that doesn't allow that level of access) isn't always as simple as it might seem.  A re-boot button on the dedicated control panel page or some other web accessible page would be handy.
If security is a concern you could put in an optional (or mandatory) two factor authentication.

This project has been completed. SuperMicro IPMI based servers can now be rebooted via the portal.
Thanks to everyone for their patience!
