Resellers tracking offerings
Idea shared by Jin - July 16, 2014 at 11:07 AM
Completed
Resellers need a way to keep track of your offerings, quantity and available upgrade/addons.

It is extremely time consuming trying to get the information from the page and then have to go through each ones available upgrades.

It would also be a bit of a headache if a client orders a server only to find out no more available or it is outdated.

Maybe a downloadable CSV file although that would be a pain dealing with upgrades.

The best would be for those using WHMCS an import module of all available offerings with self population.

I use one right now to connect to my domain registrar, I just tick what I want and set a price and it imports everything for me.

We will work on creating an API and possibly a WHMCS module to integrate into our system.

Any updates on this? I don't believe setting the price on all servers and addons would be ideal either... It could end up depending on your reseller promo code and price configuration thst the server will cost more than you charge, potentially. I don't have any ideas to mitigate this currently but I figured I would throw it out there for discussion.

We're planning on simplifying our offerings, which directly will allow us to provide reseller offerings through the API in a much simpler fashion. Unfortunately I can't provide any specific details just yet as it's tied into a few new product introductions that I can't yet mention.

We have started working on a method to provide customers with an API based pull on live stock, options, and pricing. We're hoping to have this live by Q1 - Q2 2016.
