We should have a button of some sort on our side to close tickets after we feel they have been resolved.

We previously offered this feature and have disabled it. The feature has been used by many customers to close out tickets that were not resolved and related to abuse complaints. The support system will automatically close out tickets after 7 days if a tech has not yet closed them out.

The latest release of our support system includes a feature to request to close a ticket. This will prompt a tech that an issue has been resolved and a ticket can be closed.
 
We still don't allow tickets to be closed directly by customers to prevent issues targeted toward a customer to be closed without a proper resolution.
